Electronic Poker is a favored game that usually will be played in casinos around the world, or alternatively at your house on your home computer, using a web connection. The regulations are very straightforward and involve the player trying to achieve the greatest mixture of cards possible in order to come away with cash. On this account it is much the same as a classic game of poker, without the line of contact with any other players. Of course, tactics employed during a physical game of poker, like tricking, will be useless in Video Poker.

The game of Electronic Poker begins when the enthusiast inserts credits (either tokens, credit slips or cash) into the video poker machine and presses the draw button. A hand of five cards will be electronically ‘distributed’ on the video screen.

The Video Poker machine also has hold buttons, and gamblers will need to now pick which cards to hold and which to discard. After the player has selected which cards he or she wishes to retain, they should press ‘deal’, which will mean that any new cards are dealt if desired. The round is now completed, with the Video Poker machine analyzing the cards to see if it matches any of the winning hands listed in the payment schedule.

Generally, the minimum winning hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the award money growing for each better hand. A list of common winning hands starts with jacks or better, and moves on to 2 pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It definitely goes without saying that the pay out schedule can vary from game to game, so that experienced players are able to select the most money-making ones each time.

As soon as the first round has completed, the player can either choose to remain on in an attempt to maximize their earnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any money that might have been won. Further, a few versions of the game allow the enthusiast an opportunity to increase their profits, in which situation another round is played. There are also differences between specific games, with some virtual decks including wild cards and other varying elements to increase playability.
