Video Poker is a favored game that is able to be enjoyed in casinos around the globe, or in your house on your home computer, using an Internet account. The game rules are very straightforward and involve the player trying to achieve the highest assemblage of cards possible in order to come away with money. In this respect it’s very similar as a classic game of poker, without the interaction with any other players. Of course, methods employed during a physical game of poker, like bluffing, will be useless here.
The game of Electronic Poker begins when the player inserts credits (whether it is tokens, tickets or cash) into the machine and pushes the play button. A five card hand will then be electronically ‘given out’ on the video screen.
The Electronic Poker game also has hold buttons, and enthusiasts will need to now decide which cards to keep and which to discard. For the cards the bettor would like to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons must be pressed so that they light up. The player can choose to keep any amount of cards they wish, from all to none.
After the enthusiast has chosen which cards she would like to keep, they should press ‘draw’, at which point any new cards are given out if desired. The round is now completed, with the Electronic Poker machine analyzing the cards to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands shown on the pay out schedule.
Typically, the lowest winning hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the award money increasing for each better hand. A common list of winning hands starts with jacks or better, and moves on to 2 pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It should be known that the payment schedule can vary from machine to machine, so that discerning gamblers are agile enough to select the most profitable ones each and every time.
After the first round has finished, the player can either choose to continue on in an attempt to increase their earnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any cash that they may have won. Additionally, several styles of the game allow the gambler a chance to double their profits, in which instance another round is played. There are also differences among specific machines, with some virtual decks having wild cards and other varying characteristics to enhance playability.
