Electronic Poker is a popular game that can be wagered on in casinos all over the world, or alternatively at home on your personal computer, using a net account. The game rules are absolutely straightforward and consist of the player trying to achieve the best combination of cards as you can in order to win cash. In this respect it is much the same as a regular game of poker, apart from the involvement with any other players. Of course, methods employed during a physical game of poker, such as bluffing, will be irrelevant here.
The game of Electronic Poker begins when the bettor inserts credits (whether it is tokens, credit slips or cash) into the video poker machine and presses the deal button. A 5 card hand will be "dealt" on the screen.
The Video Poker game also has buttons with ‘hold’ printed on them, and gamblers will need to now pick which cards to keep and which to throw away. For the cards the enthusiast wishes to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons must be pressed so that they light up. The player can decide to keep any number of cards they wish, whether it is all or none.
After the enthusiast has chosen which cards she would like to retain, they should press ‘deal’, at which point any new cards will be needed they will be handed out. The round is now completed, with the Video Poker machine analyzing the cards to see if it matches any of the winning hands shown on the payout schedule.
Generally, the minimum succeeding hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money growing for each better hand. A common list of winning hands starts with jacks or better, and moves on to 2 pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It definitely goes without saying that the payout schedule can change from machine to machine, so that skillful players are able to choose the most profitable game every instance.
After the first round has finished, the player can either choose to continue on in an attempt to increase their earnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any credits that might been won. Additionally, several versions of the game give the gambler a chance to double their winnings, in which situation a further round is played. There are also variations between individual games, with some decks of cards having wild cards and other varying aspects to increase playability.
