Learning Play Video Poker

[ English ]

Video Poker is a popular game that can be bet on in casinos all over the world, or alternatively at home on your PC, through a net account. The rules are absolutely simple and involve the player attempting to achieve the highest combination of cards as you can in order to come away with money. On this account it’s much the same as a classic game of poker, minus the interaction with other players. Of course, methods used in a real-life game of poker, such as bluffing, will be irrelevant here.

The game of Video Poker begins when the enthusiast puts credits (whether it is tokens, credit slips or money) into the machine and pushes the deal button. A hand of five cards will be "handed out" on the screen.

The Electronic Poker machine also has hold buttons, and bettors should now pick which cards to keep and which to throw away. For the cards the enthusiast wishes to keep, the ‘hold’ buttons should be pressed so that they illuminate. The player can decide to keep any number of cards they want, from all to none.

After the player has decided on which cards she would like to keep, they should press ‘deal’, at which point any new cards are needed they will be handed out. The hand is now finished, with the Video Poker machine analyzing the cards to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands listed in the pay out schedule.

Normally, the lowest winning hand on a Video Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money getting larger for each better hand. A list of common winning hands begins with jacks or better, and moves on to two pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It is obvious that the payout schedule can vary from game to game, so that discerning players are agile enough to choose the most beneficial machine each and every time.

As soon as the first round has finished, the player can either decide to remain on in an attempt to maximize their winnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any money that they may have won. Further, some styles of the game allow the enthusiast a chance to double their wins, in which situation a further hand is played. There are also variations between individual machines, with some virtual decks including wild cards and other differing characteristics to increase playability.
