Electronic Poker is a popular game that can be gambled on in casinos around the world, or alternatively at home on your PC, using an Internet account. The game rules are absolutely straightforward and involve the player attempting to achieve the best mixture of cards achievable in order to acquire money. On this account it is much the same as a normal game of poker, without the line of contact with any other players. The game of Electronic Poker begins when the gambler puts credits (whether it is tokens, tickets or cash) into the video poker machine and pushes the play button. A hand of five cards will then be "distributed" on the video screen.
The Video Poker machine also has hold buttons, and enthusiasts should now choose which cards to hold and which to throw away. For the cards the bettor would like to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons should be pressed so that they light up. The player can choose to keep any amount of cards they wish, whether it’s all or none.
After the gambler has selected which cards he or she wishes to retain, the player will then press ‘deal’, at which point any fresh cards will be needed they will be handed out. The game is now finished, with the Video Poker machine scanning the hand to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands listed in the payment schedule.
Generally, the lowest succeeding hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the award money growing for each better hand. A list of common winning hands starts with jacks or better, and moves on to 2 pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It goes without saying that the payment schedule can range from machine to machine, so that skillful bettors are able to select the most profitable machine each time.
After the initial round has completed, the player can either choose to continue on and try to to increase their winnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any cash that has been won. Additionally, some styles of the game give the gambler an opportunity to increase their profits, in which instance another round is played. There are also variations between individual machines, with some virtual decks including wild cards and other varying elements to enhance playability.
