Video Poker is a beloved game that is able to be bet on in casinos all over the world, or alternatively at home on your home computer, through a net account. The regulations are absolutely straightforward and consist of the player trying to get the highest mixture of cards as you can in order to come away with money. In this respect it’s much the same as a regular game of poker, minus the line of contact with any other players. The game of Electronic Poker starts when the gambler inserts credits (either tokens, tickets or cash) into the machine and pushes the deal button. A hand of 5 cards will then be electronically ‘given out’ on the video screen.
The Electronic Poker machine also has buttons with ‘hold’ written on them, and enthusiasts should now pick which cards to keep and which to throw away. For the cards the enthusiast wishes to keep, the ‘hold’ buttons must be pressed so that they light up. The player can choose to keep any number of cards they wish, whether it is all or none.
After the enthusiast has decided on which cards he or she wishes to retain, they should press ‘deal’, at which point any new cards are given out if desired. The round is now completed, with the Electronic Poker machine scanning the cards to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands shown on the payout schedule.
Generally, the lowest winning hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the award money increasing for each better hand. A common list of winning hands starts with jacks or better, and moves on to 2 pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It is obvious that the payout schedule can range from game to game, so that experienced players are agile enough to pick the most beneficial ones each instance.
After the first round has played out, the player can either decide to remain on and try to to maximize their winnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any money that has been won. Additionally, several versions of the game allow the bettor an opportunity to increase their wins, in which instance a further round is played. There are also variations among individual machines, with some decks of cards including wild cards and other differing elements to enhance playability.
