Video Poker is a beloved game that can be gambled on in casinos throughout the world, or in your house on your personal computer, through a net connection. The game rules are very simple and involve the player trying to get the best mixture of cards as you can in order to acquire money. On this account it is much the same as a normal game of poker, without the involvement with any other players. The game of Video Poker begins when the enthusiast puts credits (either tokens, credit slips or money) into the machine and presses the play button. A hand of 5 cards will be "dealt" on the screen.

The round is now completed, with the Video Poker machine scanning the hand to see if it matches any of the winning hands listed in the pay out schedule.
Normally, the minimum winning hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the award money increasing for each better hand. A list of common winning hands begins with jacks or better, and moves on to 2 pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. It goes without saying that the payment schedule can change from machine to machine, so that discerning players are able to choose the most beneficial game each and every time.
Once the first round has completed, the player can either decide to stay on in an attempt to maximize their winnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any cash that they may have won. Further, some versions of the game allow the bettor an opportunity to double their winnings, in which instance a further hand is played. There are also variations between individual machines, with some decks of cards having wild cards and other varying elements to increase playability.
